Urgency

AI adoption is moving faster than managers are equipped to lead it.

Tools can be deployed quickly. But managers still have to give teams clarity, decide where human judgement matters, redesign how work gets done and reset expectations.  Most have never been developed for that shift.

Pathways - AI Leadership Labs

Develop your managers to lead the human side of AI adoption.

Four applied Labs, each built around one challenge managers face as AI changes the work.

Each lab runs over three weeks with four facilitated hours & no days out of role.

Lab 1: Leading Teams Through AI Uncertainty
People experiment with AI when it feels safe to try, and to get it wrong.

Managers turn the organisation’s AI direction into a conversation their team can act on.

Managers make it safe for their team to try AI and to say openly what isn’t working. They give honest direction where answers are still unknown, then turn that uncertainty into small, bounded experiments the team owns.

Start here if people are holding back from AI or if there is uncertainty around AI adoption.

‍The Mission: agree one safe-to-try experiment with your team, with clear boundaries and a named owner, then review it together.

‍What managers leave with: a team that feels safe to experiment, concerns raised openly and one live experiment.
Lab 2: Setting Decision Rights and Accountability with AI
AI use has outrun managers’ judgement about how to guide it.

Teams are producing more, but not always better. Checking AI output is real work, yet it’s nobody’s named job.

Managers agree a framework with their team: what AI can do, what a person checks, who owns the outcome and when to escalate. Review stops being guesswork.
‍
Start here if AI already shapes work that leaves the team, and nobody can say who signs off.
‍
The Mission: set decision rights for one approved AI use case, then test an AI-supported output against review thresholds.
‍
What managers leave with: a documented AI autonomy level, a named human owner and agreed escalation thresholds.
Lab 3: Redesigning How Teams Work with AI
AI has sped up individual work. How teams work together hasn’t changed.

Managers map a real workflow with their team and redesign each handoff. They pilot the change against one outcome and protect the time it frees up instead of refilling it.

This Lab has managers redesign one real workflow with their team, so individual speed turns into a better shared way of working.

‍Start here if AI speeds up individuals, but the team still works the same way.

‍The Mission: redesign and test one high-friction workflow with the team.

What managers leave with: a before-and-after workflow map, agreed human and AI roles and a piloted change.
Lab 4: Managing Performance and Development in AI-Enabled Teams
When AI drafts the work, people stop building the skill behind it.

Managers set fair expectations for AI-enabled roles and learn to recognise judgement as well as visible output.

They adapt their coaching so people keep growing while AI does more of the drafting.

Start here if AI is drafting performance reviews and expectations haven’t caught up with how people work.

The Mission: sit down with one employee in an AI-enabled role and agree what good performance and development look like.

What managers leave with: updated expectations for one role, one capability to build and an agreed development action.
Pathways - AI Labs for everyone who uses AI at work

Build confidence. Strengthen judgement.
Redesign your work.

Two applied Labs that help your people to use AI purposefully and responsibly, then move beyond isolated tasks to improve how work actually gets done.

Tool-agnostic and built around your approved AI environment. Each Lab takes three weeks and four facilitated hours, applied to real work.
Lab 1: Using AI with Confidence and Good Judgement
Move from avoidance or uncritical experimentation to purposeful use, verification and appropriate human judgement.

Some people avoid AI. Others trust everything it says.

Participants learn where AI helps and where it gets things wrong, then check its output according to the risk of the task. They use it openly, within your guardrails, and know when their own judgement has to lead.

Start here if confidence with AI varies widely, or people use it with no consistent way to check it.
‍
The Mission: complete one real task with an approved AI tool, verify what matters and record where judgement changed the result.
‍
What participants leave with: a documented use case, checks matched to the risk of the task and evidence of human judgement at work.
Lab 2: Redesigning Work with AI
Move from completing isolated tasks faster to redesigning a workflow and making deliberate choices about the capacity AI creates.

Most people use AI for a few tasks. Few have rethought the work around it.

Participants look across their whole role to see where AI can genuinely help and where their own contribution matters most. Then they redesign one meaningful workflow from the outcome up, built around the strengths of both.

Start here if people use AI for isolated tasks, but the way work gets done hasn’t changed.

‍The Mission: map one live workflow, redesign it with clear human and AI roles, then test it against the old way.

‍What participants leave with: a clear picture of where AI fits in their role and one tested, redesigned workflow.

Workplace learning that doesn’t just tick a box.

Having this mission meeting was the greatest shifting point for me, as it made it very clear to me how valuable this was for my team. Most training feels like theory, but the mission actually changed the way my team works.

It was the first course in my experience that actually provided examples and when leaving the meeting, to feel like I have learnt something, and I feel prepared to apply it in real life.

Changing the mindset when using AI tools, understanding that it is not magic but a process, was key. I've shifted so many workflows using the framework that was introduced in the mission.

I actively use the tools from the session daily… the way that I ask for feedback from the team or give feedback… provide a safe space not just for me but for them… Also, many ideas have come up that we have implemented in operations, thanks the new feedback model.

FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we hear most before a Lab begins.

01
How fast can a Lab actually launch?

A Lab can typically launch within three weeks of the first conversation, depending on availability and the scope of Discovery.

02
Do you customise the Labs?

Yes. The core capability remains consistent, but the scenarios, language, discussion and Mission are adapted to your organisation.

03
What does "applied in role" mean?

Participants use the capability on a live workplace challenge between sessions. They return with evidence, questions and insight from what happened.

04
How do you measure whether it worked?

We combine baseline and follow-up capability assessments, Mission completion, participant and facilitator insight and evidence of behaviour change.

05
What's the commitment for one Lab?

One Lab and no long-term commitment. Once impact is proven, we can connect it to a broader series or curriculum.

06
How much does a lab cost?

Investment starts at £475 per participant per Lab.
